Handling Your Termite Infestation
Swarming termites are usually what you’ll first notice as the true sign of a termite infestation. In the Hill Country we have subterranean termites and in some areas we are finding dry wood termites. Our technicians at Starkey Pest Control will eradicate the colony.

We have multiple treatments options available to treat termites.

Bait Options for Termite Treatment
Non-repellents such as Termidor™, Borates™ and bait stations are all part of the arsenal we have at our disposal. Once one of our certified professionals inspects your property, we will determine the best course of action.

Creating a Barrier Around Your Structure
Non-repellents are liquid termiticides that are applied to the soil around your structure as a barrier. Since they don’t include a repellent, termites burrow into the treated area and are killed by the chemical. This method tends to be more successful in exterminating termites in one treatment. Starkey Pest Control has completed training and been certified by Termidor in how to apply their product, which allows us to provide the best options for eliminating termite infestations and preventing them from reinfesting your home.

Termites live in a colony and have different forms that live in what is referred to a caste system. One of the more destructive termite castes is made up of workers that perform nest maintenance and forage for food. The workers are frequently found infesting – and ingesting – wood in homes, businesses, and other structures. The queen is capable of laying 30,000 eggs per day. Termites infest over 600,000 homes per year and do an estimated $5 billion in damage.
